Saved Money = New Cameras

Oh how badly do I want more cameras!
People ask me what kind of art I like and I'll say fabric design and textiles, drawing, printmaking, and oh yeah, Photography.
I am so involved with photography in my major at the art school that I don't have time to think about other things during the school year. I say I like those Other things because I do love them and I don't get to see or create much in those mediums.
But the truth of the matter is that I LOVE PHOTOGRAPHY.
It is my primary form of art happiness. So I will try to stop downplaying it's importance in my life.

I've wanted a Polaroid camera for years. I picked one up at a yardsale once and but all of the negatives come out half gold. I guess you could say I hit the jackpot with that defective camera.  I am officially willing to spend money ($65) on this Fuji Instax Film camera. I feel that my last summer memories in Athens with good friends would best be captured with this camera and it's nostalgic qualities.

Now this camera is a brand new to me and I discovered her this spring semester while taking my Advanced Photography course. After my department encouraged us to explore various cameras and films, I fell in love immediately with the click of its shutter. The sound, the ground glass, the sharp focus, the lack of focus, the simplicity ... I am a Mamiya RZ67 lover. And it can be mine for $2,000.

I'll report on this later...our future together.
